HELIOS SYSTEMS SOFTWARE PACKAGE
The HELIOS SYSTEMS software package includes a multitude of Windows applications which act as an interface between the operator and the photovoltaic power plant. These applications and the belonging documentation can be installed easily with a simple to use setup routine. Once installed, the software package offers a maximum of survey over the solar installation.
The software package contains, amongst others, the following applications:
- Plant Viewer
visualises the measuring data of the associated inverters in real-time and offers the possibility to control the power factor of the grid feed-in as well as to limit the instantaneous power of the plant. - Day Viewer
offers a graphical depiction of the recorded daily profiles of the inverters. - Inverter Viewer
offers a graphical depiction of the energy output. - FTP Download Tool
offers an FTP-download of the log files from the inverters. - Service Text Editor
is used to write maintenance reports.
PLANT VIEWER
The data from the inverters are sent to the Plant Viewer via Ethernet. The Plant Viewer shows an overview table incorporating all active inverters of the solar power plant. Inverters that broke down or have been newly connected are dynamically deleted or added respectively. The most important measuring values are displayed in real-time on distinct trend screens that can be saved as screen shots, if required. Complete logging of all data is done by every inverter.
Dependant on two digital inputs that are captured by the I/O card of the PC, the plant power can be limited in three steps. These digital inputs can, for example, be connected to the potential free contacts of a load management system.
Furthermore a power factor control for the plant was implemented that enables an active gird stabilisation.
DAY VIEWER
The program Day Viewer offers a graphical display of the daily profiles of the inverters. These profiles are locally stored on a memory card in the inverter and contain the most important measured data of one day.
Two trend screens are available for the depiction of the measured curves. Furthermore, single measuring points can be selected and displayed with the integrated cursor function.
The daily profiles can either be opened from the inverter via FTP or from the local hard disk.
INVERTER VIEWER
The energy output of each inverter is recorded by the hour and written in a log file on a memory card inside the inverter. The Inverter Viewer enables a graphical depiction of the recorded values.
An interesting period of energy output can be plotted as bar graph on an annual, monthly or user defined time basis with a one-day resolution. The daily values can be displayed either if selected with the cursor or on labels that can be added to the bars. Additionally, the Inverter Viewer offers a display of the energy earnings of every month in table form.
The files can either be opened from the inverter via FTP or from the local hard disk.
